TYPES OF MOUNTS: Inside mounted vertical blinds will have a deduction of approximately 0.4" to ensure they fit the window frame correctly. Inside mounted blinds require a minimum frame depth of 2.4" for a secure installation. If your window frame depth is less than 2.4", please choose an outside mount. Outside mounts are commonly used when there isn't enough frame depth for inside mounting. Our window shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounts.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1 - Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom. Choose the smallest of the three measurements and deduct 0.4" to get your inside width when placing an order. Step 2 - Measure the height at the left, middle, and right side. Again, choose the smallest measurement and deduct 0.4" for your inside height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1 - Measure the outside frame width and add 8" to get the outside mount width. Step 2 - For French windows, measure from 2.4" above the top frame to 0.4" above the ground. For windowsill windows, measure from 2.4" above the top frame to 4" below the bottom frame. The recommended overlap ensures proper coverage and prevents light gaps.

OPENING OPTIONS: Option 1 - Single open to the left or right. Option 2 - Opposite open from the middle, with slats moving simultaneously left and right when controlled.
